HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (WBTV) - An employee with Lake Norman Charter School was placed on administrative leave on Thursday after allegedly shared posting on social media about the assassination of Charlie Kirk .

School officials on Thursday, Sept. 11, said that a member of their staff shared a “hateful and highly offensive sentiment” related to the killing of conservative activist Kirk. Kirk was shot and killed during an event on a college campus in Utah on Wednesday, Sept. 10.

The Lake Norman Charter employee in question allegedly posted something negative about Kirk’s death on their personal social media page.

Officials with Lake Norman Charter did not immediately clarify what position was held by the employee placed on administrative leave.
