Iowa man accused of making explicit videos of children sentenced to federal prison

DES MOINES, Iowa -- An Oskaloosa man was sentenced to federal prison for making explicit photos and videos of minors.

According to court documents, 42-year-old Matthew Scott Beal was accused of producing inappropriate videos of children and sending several of those videos to an online account that was operated, unbeknownst to Beal, by the Homeland Security's Newark Child Exploitation Task Force.

During the execution of a search warrant at Beal's home, law enforcement seized his phone, where they discovered over 100 inappropriate photos and videos of minors, including some of young children, the United States Attorney's Office Southern District of Iowa said.
