JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. — East Tennessee State University said two of its employees are on administrative leave pending further review regarding their social media posts after the deadly shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, according to NBC affiliate WCYB .

The university said the two employees involved are Dr. Andrew Hermann and Dr. Russell Brown.

According to ETSU's website, Dr. Hermann teaches classes in communications.

Dr. Russell Brown is a professor in the department of biomedical sciences.

An ETSU spokesperson tells News 5.
