PINE BELT, Miss. (WDAM) - Several arrests were made Thursday after a multi-county investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics to underage individuals.
According to a press release, the investigation started in Perry County after complaints from parents and community members.
One concerned parent who wished to be anonymous said she was happy to see the doors closed at the N HALE Smoke Shop in Richton.
“They need to be stopped,” the parent said. “They finally got stopped, hopefully.”
Deputies raided the shop and its Beaumont location, carrying away several boxes of unknown items.
The parent said the alleged sales at the shop have been going on since at least 2024.
“Other parents told me they were selling to their kids, as young as 14 years old,” said the parent.
