LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Dylan Carey spent the off-season with his family in Arizona. He also linked up with some hitting coaches to help retool his swing. Carey worked with the staff at Driveline, who focused on generating more power. Nebraska’s senior shortstop said he’s seeing improvements already during fall practice.

Carey is a 3-year starter for the Huskers, who moves into a leadership role for the 2026 season. Carey is Nebraska’s most experienced player coming back from last year’s 33-win campaign. The Huskers’ roster features ten seniors; five of which are position players including Carey.

The veteran infielder has 19 career home runs and 102 RBI. He hit a career-best .288 last season while starting every game.
