LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — A federal judge on Wednesday sentenced a North Las Vegas man to ten years in prison plus five years of supervised release for trafficking more than 30 pounds of methamphetamine.

Court documents show Efrain Macias-Amaral sold someone more than 2,000 grams of meth in both mid-June and early July of 2024. Days after that last sale, Las Vegas Metro Police stopped his truck and found more than 11,000 grams of the drug in a suitcase. They also found a Mexican identification card with a different name on it.

In April, Macias-Amaral pleaded guilty to two counts of distribution of a controlled substance and one count of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.
