(WTRF) - The Brilliant American Legion Post 573 held a ceremony Thursday morning to remember those who died on Sept. 11.
American Legion State Commander Stan Oren spoke at the ceremony. He told 7News he still remembers where he was when he learned about the tragic events as they unfolded.
"I walked into my boss' office. I saw it on his TV, and my heart sank. It was like, 'My gosh, we're under attack,'" Oren said.
Among those recognized were the first responders, the passengers and the civilians who lost their lives that day. The ceremony was free and open to the public.
