A Bellingham man will be retried on a charge of second-degree murder for a July 9, 2024, crash that killed a man in the parking lot of LeRoy Haagen Memorial Park in east Vancouver.
Last month, a Clark County Superior Court jury found Andrew R. Roberts, 55, guilty of vehicular homicide and hit-and-run resulting in the death of Sundance Goodroad. But jurors were deadlocked on the murder charge, which resulted in a mistrial on the charge.
Judge Robert Lewis set Roberts’ retrial on the murder charge for Nov. 17.
With his current convictions, Roberts is facing a standard sentencing range of about seven to 9½ years in prison, according to the prosecution.
