CLAY, Ala. (TRIBUNE) – Clay’s new mayor, Jane Anderton, joined Tribune Unscripted last week for her first sit-down interview since being elected to lead the city. The discussion, hosted by Tribune Digital Media’s Brannon Dawkins and Trussville Tribune publisher Scott Buttram, touched on Anderson’s priorities as she begins her transition into office.

Anderton, who defeated longtime incumbent Charles Webster, said one of her first goals will be improving transparency at City Hall. “The website is not full of useful information—it’s hard to navigate,” Anderton explained. “That’ll be one of the first things I do, to make sure people know what’s going on in the city.”
