LADY LAKE, Fla. – A body was discovered at a construction site in Lady Lake on Thursday afternoon, kicking off an investigation into what happened, according to the police department.

In a release, police said they were called to the site at the corner of CR-466 and CR-100 around 2:12 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found the body lying in the tall grass, already in the advanced stages of decomposition, police added.

The body hasn’t yet been identified, though the State Medical Examiner’s Office has already been looped into the investigation, the release states.
