SUFFOLK, Va. — A Suffolk woman has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a paramedic Wednesday afternoon.
Suffolk police said on Wednesday around 3:10 p.m., they were called to the 3200 block of Prices Fork Boulevard, just off of College Drive, for an "assist medic" call.
At the scene already were Suffolk Fire & Rescue personnel, who had been called to the location to respond to a medical emergency. According to police, Jacqueline Williams, 48, of Suffolk, became combative and assaulted a paramedic on the scene.
Following an investigation, warrants were obtained for Williams' arrest. She was taken into custody on Thursday and charged with assault and battery.
