HOUSTON (KIAH) — The Houston Cougars look to build off of its Bayou Bucket win against Rice with a “Prime Time” opponent on Friday night.
The Coogs will open Big 12 Conference play against head coach Deion Sanders and his Colorado Buffaloes at 6:30 p.m. Friday at TDECU Stadium.
Houston (2-0) has had two big wins over Stephen F. Austin and Rice to open the season, with its defense playing lights out after holding the Lumberjacks and Owls to a combined nine points. UH has given up only 78 passing yards per game, good for third in the nation so far.
Meanwhile, Colorado (1-1) has a lot of questions at quarterback. While media reports said that Sanders will start third-stringer Ryan Staub, Coach Prime said he hasn’t made his mind up yet who will start on Friday. • Houston quarterback Conne
