TACOMA, Wash. — Feeling lucky, Tacoma? A winning Powerball ticket was sold in the city on Wednesday.

The winning lottery ticket was sold from a 76 gas station at 15119 Pacific Ave. S. near the Lake Spanaway Golf Course.

Because the ticket was purchased during the Power Play add-on on drawing night, the purchaser's prize money doubled from $1 million into a $2 million prize.

The 76 gas station will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling a second-tier winning ticket, according to Washington's Lottery.

In the last year, approximately 1.7 million people have won a total of $14.5 million from Washington’s Powerball lottery.
