CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Overdose deaths among seniors have quadrupled over two decades, and The Right Dose! Senior Overdose Prevention Summit aims to address the problem by teaching families and caregivers safe medicine practices.
The Right Dose! takes place 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, at Case Western Reserve University, Tinkham Veale University Center Ballroom, 11038 Bellflower Rd. Registration is free.
Speakers include Erica Crawley, executive director of Multiethnic Advocates for Cultural Competence; state Rep. Juanita Brent; Cleveland Department of Public Health Commissioner Frances Mills; Brandy Carney, director of public safey and justice for Cuyahoga County; and Cleveland Emergency Medical Service Sgt. Gwen McCue.
