CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - The 24th anniversary of the 9/11 Attacks on the World Trade Center comes on the heels of the shooting death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Both developments come with images of tragedy, widely circulated.

While television news refrains from showing the graphic video of the moment Kirk was struck in the neck by a bullet on the Utah Valley University campus, it quickly made the rounds on social media.

Licensed clinical social worker Shawni Butler works with the Community Counseling Center in Cape Girardeau. She described her feelings after encountering the video online.
