A man was killed in a house fire in Philadelphia’s Port Richmond neighborhood Thursday evening.

The fire started at a two-story home along the 3200 block of Almond Street around 6:20 p.m. Responding firefighters were able to bring the flames under control.

A man in his 60s was injured in the fire. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, officials said. Investigators have not yet revealed his identity or the cause of the fire.
