FLORISSANT — A pedestrian died when he was hit by an SUV Thursday morning along North Lindbergh Boulevard, authorities said.
The Missouri Highway Patrol said the victim, a 73-year-old St. Louis area man, was airlifted to SSM St. Louis University Hospital, where he died.
The patrol said the driver, a 24-year-old man from the Florissant area, was inattentive and traveled off the right side of the road, hitting the victim.
The incident occurred shortly after 9 a.m. on southbound Lindbergh north of Cougar Drive. The patrol doesn't release the names of people in accidents.
