Portland police on Thursday identified the 22-year-old Portland man who killed his mother and school-age sister before dying by suicide last weekend as Miguel Morgan.

Police said Morgan shot 48-year-old Maria Florencia Rubio and 10-year-old Liliana Morgan in their Southeast Portland home in the 7000 block of Southeast 64th Avenue. Officers were called to the home shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday.

East Precinct officers had responded to the home on reports of a suicide and found the three dead from gunshot wounds. Police initially called the incident a triple homicide.
