NEW MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WKBN) - Springfield senior Baelyn Brungard reached 1,000 career kills during the Tigers' 3-0 win over Western Reserve in high school volleyball on Thursday night.
Brungard, who surpassed 1,000 career digs last season, finished the night with a game-high 24 kills on the milestone night. She also added 10 digs and 14 service points.
Other contributors for Springfield included Emily Conner with 11 digs and Makenna Wymer's 24 assists and nine digs.
With the win, the Tigers improve to 5-4 overall and will travel to face Liberty on Saturday, Sept. 13.
