Deven Vigue of Prairie is The Columbian 2025-26 Week 1 high school football player of the week, sponsored by Killer Burger.

Vigue picked up 262 of the 678 votes cast this week to win the honor.

The senior quarterback rushed for 170 yards and 3 TDs and passed for 190 yards and three TDs in a 46-44 win over Ridgefield.

In the included video, Vigue answers three This-or-That questions: Would rather go a month without brushing his teeth or taking a shower? If students were forced to wear uniforms, should teachers also be required to do so? Would he rather be the fastest player on the team or the strongest?
