LA CENTER Wash. (KPTV) - The La Center School District and the teachers’ union reached a tentative agreement Thursday evening , the district announced.

According to the district, the members of the La Center Education Association will vote on the agreement on Friday.

If the union members approve the contract, school will resume on Monday, Sept. 15, the district said.

In the announcement, the district superintendent thanked the school community for their patience.

“We are looking forward to welcoming students back to their classrooms,” the superintendent said.
