BRISTOL, CT. (WFSB) - A wanted fugitive was arrested by Bristol police Thursday afternoon.

Police say that officers took 55-year-old Andre Epps into custody at around 4:36 p.m.

Epps was wanted by New Haven police in connection with a domestic related assault involving a knife in 2023.

He was charged with 2nd degree assault, risk of injury to a minor, and 2nd degree breach of peace.

“The Bristol Police Department commends the teamwork and professionalism of both the CSU and Patrol Division in bringing this case to a safe resolution. Their collaborative efforts demonstrate our department’s continued commitment to ensuring the safety of the Bristol community,” said the department in a statement.
