KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) -- After more than 16 years of chants and cheers across Arrowhead Stadium, Dale Carter, the stadium PA voice of the Kansas City Chiefs, took to social media Thursday to announce his formal resignation.

The long-time announcer shared a post on Facebook stating that his time with the franchise, which included six AFC Championships over the course of 16 years, was nothing short of "incredible."

"I truly enjoyed being the 'Audio Propagandist' for the team I love... doing everything I could do (within the rules) to give our guys an advantage!!" Carter said.

Despite his love for the team, Carter cites multiple reasons for his resignation.
