BUFFALO, N.Y. — Hundreds of Buffalo State College students have been without hot water for a week as a leak affecting multiple dorms continues to disrupt campus life. University officials say the issue stems from a leak impacting dormitory water systems, and repairs are underway.
Students report ongoing frustration, saying that while the university has provided shower trailers with a limited number of showers, the portable facilities are often overcrowded. Some students also noted that as recently as last night, the water in the portable showers was not hot.
"The portable ones are not even working, and it's just like, come on, we're freezing cold," student Cassandra Castell said.
University officials restored hot water to some dorms on Wednesday, but not all buildings have been fully se
