MAPLE HEIGHTS, Ohio — Dozens of concerned residents packed the large meeting room of Maple Heights Public Library Thursday evening for what was called a "Community Roundtable Discussion on Senseless Acts of Violence."
At top of mind for citizens was last month's murder outside the city's Giant Eagle store , where 28-year-old Timothy Kappenhagen was carjacked, shot and killed while loading groceries in his car. Police said at least one suspect then stole Kappenhagen's vehicle and fled, but days later, authorities recovered a "vehicle of interest" in connection with the case and took two men into custody for "further investigation."
