VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) -- In the wake of the killing of conservative activist and Christian nationalist Charlie Kirk, there has been no shortage of viewpoints.

Public figures, political leaders and community members of all races, ages and backgrounds alike have denounced violence, expressed condolences and called for peace.

Kirk played an influential role in rallying young Republican voters to elect President Donald Trump for a second term last year.
