BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Reactions continue to pour in following the assassination of political commentator and social media influencer Charlie Kirk.
His death, described by many leaders as politically motivated, has sparked nationwide debate — especially among young Americans.
Clips of the shooting are circulating widely across social media platforms, raising concerns among mental health professionals about how exposure to such graphic violence affects children and teenagers.
Clinical psychologist Dr. Josh Klapow said young people process these images differently than adults.
“They are seeing things that we as adults, older adults can’t even fathom,” Klapow said.
