BUCKEYE, AZ (AZFamily) — One man is dead and four others are in the hospital, including children, following a rollover crash in the far West Valley on Thursday night.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. on the eastbound side of Interstate 10 about a mile east of Palo Verde Road in Buckeye .

Firefighters said the man died at the scene. The four others, a woman, a teen, and two kids ages 5 and 6, were rushed to West Valley and Phoenix Children’s hospital for serious injuries.

The eastbound lanes are closed as of 11 p.m. and should remain that way for most of the night.

The Department of Public Safety hasn’t said what led up to the crash.

The westbound lanes are not affected.
