MARIPOSA COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Parents are expressing outrage over comments they say were made by a Mariposa County High School teacher in front of several students regarding the murder of Charlie Kirk.

They claim the teacher said he was glad Kirk was killed and that he "deserved it."

One parent shared the allegations on social media.

On Thursday, multiple parents wrote in to the Mariposa County school board meeting calling for the teacher to be let go.

The board says an investigation into the claims is currently underway.

Board members say this is a personnel matter and they cannot comment further at this time.
