Kansas lawmakers explored using artificial intelligence to find government efficiencies at a committee hearing on Sept. 10.
The Kansas Senate Committee on Government Efficiency hosted Rob Cohan, managing director of public service for Accenture, a Dublin, Ireland-based professional services company focused on IT and technology.
"The technology is there, the strategy is not for government. The risk framework, the governance models, the policies, even the architecture," Cohan said. "Reconfiguring workflows is key, you can't just take an existing one and plug AI in and expect, from a risk perspective, that it's going to be an acceptable use."
