A teenager left paralysed overnight by a "one-in-a-million" condition was told she may never walk again.
Jessie-Lou Harvie, 14, was struck down with transverse myelitis – an rare spinal cord condition – in March 2024, after she suddenly experienced weakness in her legs and found she "couldn't really move".
Education officer Nicola Harvie, 46, recalled the moment doctors warned that her "healthy" daughter might never walk again, calling it "the worst thing you can hear as a parent".
