MASON CITY— Three of the area’s premier volleyball teams clashed as Mason City, Clear Lake and Charles City battled in a Triangular on Thursday night.

The Clear Lake Lions won both of their matchups as they swept both Charles City (25-17, 25-20) and Mason City (25-13, 25-12). In the final game of the night, the Mason City Riverhawks defeated the Charles City Comets in a three-set thriller (25-27, 25-16, 15-11).
