INDIANAPOLIS – Three people were taken to area hospitals after a Thursday night crash on Indy’s south side.

It happened around 9:20 p.m. near US 31 and County Line Road.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, a vehicle heading north on US 31 collided with a southbound vehicle that tried to turn onto County Line Road.

The collision caused one of the vehicles to spin and hit a third vehicle.

Three people—both drivers of the initial vehicles and a passenger—were taken to area hospitals. IMPD didn’t disclose the extent of their injuries, saying only that they were in stable condition.

Both drivers submitted to blood draws, which is standard procedure in serious crashes. Police do not suspect impairment.

The crash remains under investigation.
