PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Arizona is in for a nice weather change this weekend. Temperatures will drop as drier air moves into the state, thanks to a trough of low pressure pushing through the West.

The state is split between two air masses right now, with lingering monsoon moisture in Eastern Arizona and drier air moving into Western Arizona. This keeps slight storm chances in place for half the state today, including a very slight chance in the Valley. Otherwise, expect mostly sunny skies and an afternoon high of 101 degrees.

Conditions stay breezy once again today in the deserts, with Valley winds expected between 10 and 15 mph this afternoon and evening, gusting higher. Stronger winds are expected in the higher elevations of the state.
