OSKALOOSA, Iowa (Gray Media Iowa State Capitol Bureau) -- An Iowa teacher faces possible termination for a social media post following the death of conservative organizer and popular podcast host Charlie Kirk.

Kirk founded Turning Point USA, an organization that focused on attracting more young people to the conservative movement.

On Wednesday, someone shot and killed Kirk during an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

Some liberals and progressives found Kirk’s past comments offensive in regards to issues like women staying home to raise children, civil rights, the COVID 19 pandemic, and abortion.

The Oskaloosa Community School District is investigating a social media post reportedly made by one of its teachers following Kirk’s death.
