Nearly two years. That’s how long we have been waiting for the results of the investigation into the alleged case of voter fraud from our 2023 mayoral election in Springfield.

There are signed affidavits from a police officer and several poll workers from the City Hall polling station attesting to voters asking about a $10 payment and a fish dinner they said they were promised for casting a vote for Justin Hurst. There is video of Hurst campaign volunteer Gilfrey T. Gregory handing out $10 bills to these voters as they exit City Hall after voting.

There is video of the candidate himself driving these people in his SUV near City Hall, possibly from the homeless shelter where they were staying. Do you think this case would have been pursued with more enthusiasm by the state Attorney Gene
