HOWLAND Howland Township Trustees have called a special meeting to discuss the proposed abolition of property taxes in Ohio.
Trustees will be meeting Monday, September 22 at 6 p.m. to discuss the proposal.
A statement sent to 21 News by Howland Township Administrator James Pantalone says the Board of Trustees does understand the impact and sticker shock that recent property valuations have had on residents and businesses.
However, Pantalone says any potential change to the system needs to be well thought out.
