Two people have been taken to hospital after police and paramedics swarmed a street in Glasgow’s west end .

Around five ambulance vehicles were dispatched to Cresswell Street, off Byres Road , Hillhead, and paramedics and police were seen entering a tenement close. Police said they were called to reports of two people taken unwell around 2.20pm on Friday (September 12).

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said an emergency call was made shortly after 2pm, with several ambulance vehicles, including the trauma team, dispatched to the scene.

The first ambulance arrived within five minutes. Two patients were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
