It’s been 14 years since Heidi Watney was the reporter on NESN’s Red Sox broadcasts.

She’s accomplished plenty on a national scale since, including nine years as a host and reporter with MLB Network, and nearly four full years now in her current role as the reporter for Apple TV+’s “Friday Night Baseball.”

But Boston — and especially Fenway Park, where she was part of NESN’s Sox coverage from 2008-11 — has a special place in her heart that will resonate with anyone who cares about this city and its baseball team.
