The shooting of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk during a presentation at Utah Valley University has raised questions about security measures at similar events here in Albuquerque, with experts suggesting improvements to prevent such incidents.
Retired APD Commander Paul Szych, KOAT's crime expert, said the shooter had an advantageous spot on the roof overlooking Kirk's presentation. "It was a very strategically located position, has direct frontal sight to the event," Szych said.
