GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (WFLA) — A family said that someone shot and killed four of their goats at point-blank range in broad daylight on Tuesday, and also attacked their dog.

David Green and his wife Terri, told reporters that they discovered their family's pygme goats unmoving and sprawled out across the ground on their Grand Prairie farm.

"At first I thought they'd been poisoned, but then I saw, I looked and saw a hole about this big around behind their ear on two of them," said David.

Police believe that the goats, whom the couple's grandkids named Oreo, Skittle, Starburst, and Pixie, had been shot in the head at close range.

A neighbor shared a video that the couple believes captured the sound of one of the gunshots just before 2:30 p.m. According to him, no bullet casings were found
