Three young men are accused of intentionally setting a fire in an apartment building in Arlington this spring, authorities say. The early morning fire affected 32 residents and sent several people to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
An 18-year-old, 20-year-old and 22-year-old were recently arrested and charged with arson tied to the fire in the 1000 block of S. Quebec Street on May 15, the county fire marshal’s office said Friday.

The fire broke out before 5 a.m., when many residents were sleeping. Firefighters used ladders to rescue people who were trapped on upper floors.
