Elder Gene R. Cook of the Quorum of the Seventy dies at age 84

SALT LAKE CITY — Elder Gene R. Cook a former leader for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints died at 84 in his home in Lehi, Utah.

Elder Gene R. Cook, served over 3 decades as a general authority for the church. According to Church News , Cook served in the Presidency of the Seventy from 1975 to 1976, presided over the Uruguay-Paraguay Mission from 1976 to 1977 and served in numerous other Church departments and assignments.
