RAYMOND, Iowa (KCRG) - A La Porte City man is accused of threatening to shoot a bar patron and threatening to shoot law enforcement.

The Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office say deputies were called to Tipsy’s Bar in Raymond at 10:42 p.m. on Thursday for a report that Stallone Purdy had threatened to shoot a customer.

When deputies arrived, the learned that Purdy had left the bar in a white sedan. A deputy was later dispatched to the 8200-block of La Porte Road for a report of a car in a ditch. Investigators say Purdy was the driver of the vehicle and ran into a nearby cornfield after exiting.

Authorities say as Purdy was in the cornfield, he made threats to shoot law enforcement.
