DES MOINES — Gov. Kim Reynolds has signed a Partner State agreement with Maharashtra, India, marking a new era of collaboration. The agreement was signed during Reynolds' trade and investment mission to India, with a 20-member delegation from Iowa's agriculture, education, and government sectors.

"Iowa is proud to partner with Maharashtra, one of India’s most dynamic states," Reynolds said. She emphasized that the agreement is a strategic commitment to foster innovation and economic prosperity.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis of Maharashtra highlighted the partnership's potential to connect farmers, students, and entrepreneurs, promoting trade, research, and cultural exchange. "Together, we will turn this agreement into real opportunities for our people," Fadnavis said.
