BATH, N.Y. (WETM) – A Bath man has been arrested on various charges after an incident that occurred in the Village of Bath in early September.

Frederick C. Valkenburgh, 39, was arrested on the following charges, as stated in a release from the Bath Police Department: • Assault in the second degree, a class D felony • Disorderly conduct • Resisting arrest • Obstructing governmental administration

Officials say Valkenburgh was arrested on the charges after an incident that occurred on Friday, Sept. 5, around 10 a.m. on East Morris Street in Bath. At this time, officials say they were called to the area for the report of a man obstructing traffic in the road.
