DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — The two suspects accused of murdering a man in a May shooting near a Durham park were indicted on new charges this month, including a murder conspiracy charge with another person, court documents show.
According to the Durham Police Department, the shooting happened on May 30 around midnight in the 1600 block of Rowemont Drive near the entrance of Whippoorwill Park. Officers found three people, a man and two women, inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds.
The man, identified as 23-year-old Christopher Piedrasanta-Perez of Durham, died from his injuries, according to police.
Warrants filed by Durham police show 18-year-old Gracie Elizabeth Faye Landa and 24-year-old Edy Steven Flores Reyes, both of Burlington, were identified as suspects in the shooting.
