ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — The St. Petersburg Police Department said a man was stabbed multiple times near a Burger King on Friday morning.

Police said the man was stabbed near the restaurant's parking lot on Central Avenue.

He was taken to a hospital. His condition is not known.

Photos from the scene show several St. Pete police cars parked near the restaurant's drive-thru lane.

Officers said a suspect was taken into custody a block away from the scene. They didn't release any other information about the suspect.

No other details were immediately available.
