LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — A man was arrested and charged with felony damage to real property after allegedly digging a 70 feet long, 2 feet wide, 2 feet deep hole along the side of Jack Seagle Road in Vale , North Carolina.
Deputies arrested Aaron Dale Upton for the crime.
Upton was released from the day before for allegedly threatening a neighbor with a firearm.
The trench impacted drivers' ability to enter driveways and compromised the integrity of the road, Lincoln County Sheriff's Office said.
Upton is being held without bond.
