SAULT STE. MARIE — The City of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan is now on the search for a new city manager.

This comes after the resignation of Brian Chapman.

Assistant City Manager Robin Troyer will take on the role of acting city manager until a replacement is found.

Mayor Don Gerrie thanked Chapman for his nearly six years of service and helping the city make important progress and navigating through tough times during covid. He says there many great changes during Chapman’s tenure, such as the downtown placemaking project, Meridian Street reconstruction, the Carbide Dock and the re-establishment of the SmartZone program through the creation of Headwaters North.
